Teething refers to the condition in which a baby’s first set of teeth start to emerge through the gums. These set of teeth, called “milk teeth” or “baby teeth” usually emerge in pairs.
Teething often begins around 6 to 8 months of age and can take up to 2 years for all teeth to emerge.
Teething can occur with no attendant problems or symptoms in some babies. However, in some other babies, teething could come with discomfiting symptoms.
