Yaupon tea is a relatively uncommon tea that is derived from the dried leaves of yaupon holly tree (Ilex vomitoria). The yaupon holly tree is native to North America.

Yaupon tea is the only naturally-occurring caffeine source that is native to the US. It also has similar active ingredients and nutrition as yerba mate tea.
